- 1986: Jerry Lee Lewis was the first man Inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame
- 1987: Best Spoken Word Grammy Award for Class of ’55
- 1989: Jerry Lee Lewis was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
- 1998: “Great Balls of Fire” was elected to the Grammy Hall of Fame, reserved for songs that have had a lasting impact after their release
- 1999: “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” was elected to the Hall of Fame as well
- 2005: The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award was bestowed on Lewis
- 2007: Jerry Lee Lewis received the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s American Music Masters Award
- 2012: Inducted into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame
